Advancing Neuropsychiatric Practice, Training, and Research for 30 Years: ANPA’s Committee on Research

The American Neuropsychiatric Association Committee on Research (ANPA CoR), founded in 1993, seeks to advance medical knowledge and clinical practice in the transdisciplinary area that is neuropsychiatry. The committee members are clinician-scientists in behavioral neurology & neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, and other disciplines in the clinical neurosciences based in North America, Central and South America, and Europe. Through the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, the ANPA CoR publishes scholarly works on issues of scientific and clinical importance to our field, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, scholarly narrative reviews, position papers, expert consensus guidance documents, and clinical practice recommendations.

This Editor’s Choice collection showcases the contributions of the ANPA CoR to the scientific literature since inception of its work. The articles in this collection align fully with ANPA’s mission “to improve the lives of persons with disorders and the interface of psychiatry and neurology” and its vision “to transform recognition, understanding, and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders.” The articles in this collection, presented in reverse chronological order, have been cited over 2,000 times, with an average of more than 80 citations per article.
